3 whole months!!
OH MY! I am already 3 months?!?!
Baby girl is still growing like a champ. She is now between 14.5 - 15 lbs (per our bathroom scale, we don't have another doctors visit until 4 months). She has found her hands, and sometimes I will see her just staring curiously at her arm. She can and likes to roll unto her side from her back (by sticking both arms and legs in the air and gaining momentum until she lands on her side). She enjoys just laying on the floor, rolling back and forth from side to side, sucking on her hands.
(Darling outfit from Auntie Kasi)
She still doesn't go down for naps very well, so we do a lot of grocery shopping in the afternoon so she can fall asleep in the car.
Along with finding her hands, baby girl has also graduated into the world of crib sleeping. She has been in her own room, in her crib for about a week now, and while she doesn't sleep from 10 - 7 anymore, she is still able to go from 10 - 5 and I am hoping she will continue to learn how to fall back asleep on her own so she can sleep longer.
Baby girl loves the bath and gets one every night in attempts to calm her down and help her get ready for bed.
I've been reading to her, though I don't think she is paying to much attention, so I switched from children books to ones I actually want to read. Once she starts to look at the pictures I will read her some Dr. Seuss, but until then, parenting books and books on Wall Street.
She still likes tummy time, though it usually quickly deteriorates into 'suck on my hand / blanket / arm / anything close to my mouth' time.
When not sucking on her arms, she is really strong though, and has good head control.
She is showing her smarts early, and continues to refuse to take a bottle, though I am on a mission and am buying a different brand each day until we can hopefully find one that she will take (Radiohead is this weekend, and I would really like to go, but if she won't eat without me, I can't really subject a sitter to that...)
How she feels about bottles, pacifiers etc...
We love our little girl and think she is darling, happy days behind us and many more to come!

Whole lot of screaming going on
Baby girl is 3 months old today, and is growing well, sleeping great through the night (7 - 9 hour stretches on a regular basis), enjoys tummy time, can roll from her tummy to back (though it scares her), can roll onto her side from her back AND likes to scream from 8 pm - 11 pm every night. Supposedly colic ends at 3 months, but with our little pumpkin it looks like we've only just begun.
Here she is, this morning, before the screaming had begun. Dear pumkin, we do think you are wonderful and darling, but would very much enjoy to see more of this happy baby and less of the screamer. Love, your parents.

Happenings of late...
So from about 5 weeks old to 9 weeks old, baby girl was sleeping quite well, averaging 6 - 8 hour stretches at night. On days she got a good sleep, she is a delight in the morning:
When she wakes up early, she'll often take a quick nap after breakfast.
So lately, baby girl has been very stuffy and congested, I think it is affecting her ability to sleep as she has been struggling to make it longer than 4 hour stretches, which while she does look and act ridiculously adorable, this was the 3rd time she had woken up this night:
Ironically, though she sleeps at night she pretty much refuses to take naps, other than the short morning nap (1-2 hrs) she will not take a nap in the afternoon.
Again, at least she is darling and happy. I think it looks like she is trying to laugh in some of the photos.
Just in case anyone out there thinks we have the perfect baby who sleeps all night and is happy all day (we KNOW she is perfect for us, but we are biased), don't worry,we also enjoy screaming starting around 6 pm lasting off and on until she finally goes to sleep around 11 pm (which may be why she is so tired and can sleep all night). We've started to try to get a night time routine in place to help her understand and get more ready for sleeping. She has started to really like bath time so we do a bath to calm her down.
Happy Buddha baby only lasts a few minutes though, and shortly deteriorates into this:
Other than terrorizing our sleep and night time routines, baby girl is also getting used to tummy time. She is getting really strong and can hold her head quite steady and is able to roll over onto her back when she gets fussy. I don't think she knows exactly what she is doing, and it scares her when she rolls over, but she is getting stronger and kicks happily and often talks up a storm on her tummy.
Other random photos:
Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Berglund for the baby whisperer; she loves the swing and is completely mesmerized by the mirror.
When Grandma was over to visit, she gave Lily a fabulous Mohawk hairstyle...
She loves her daddy and the times she gets to spend with him:Grandma came to visit
Lily spent a lot of time snuggled in her arms and pretty much enjoying life.
We love it when people visit and can't wait to go up to Idaho in a few months!
