Favorite Toy

So I am seriously questioning my decision to let her play with this given the poison warning on the back. But she LOVES it.

Oh and yes, she is wearing her hippie tie-dye shirt in ode to her mommas roots.

Lately she's also taken to crawling away from me towards the edge of the bed, then stopping, turning back to me and giggling. I then grab both her feet and drag her back to me. All the while she is just giggling hysterically. Oh to be so easily amused.

New pastime

For the past 20 minutes, baby girl has been standing up on our headboard, singing, dancing and then jumping into the pillows. All of which she finds hilarious. Life is grand.

9 months!?!

I can't believe our little one is 9 months old! She is such a joy and learns something new everyday.

9 month stats:
Height: 29.5", 95% percentile
Weight: 19 lb 15 oz, 85% percentile
Head Circumference: 85% percentile

Current favorites include music, and as of today she has started dancing to the beat. It may be my new favorite trick. She still loves to watch herself in the mirror and continues to be shy at first when she meets new people. When she is excited / wants something her little hands and feet go crazy rolling and waving. She is crawling like a champ and can and does stand up using any and everything. She loves to pound on her little piano and often sings and dances to her tunes. She is not walking yet, but can cruise around the furniture and no longer falls on her face when she wants to sit back down.

Homeless baby

Covered in lentils, squash, pears, Cheerios and snot. Even in her hair. At least she's happy.

On our way to Idaho for the wedding. Baby girl was a champion traveller and only got a little fussy when I wouldn't let her crawl around or eat the seat.

Children's Museum

A friend and I took our kiddos to the Houston Children's Museum. The entire top floor is dedicated to kids under 3 and it is awesome.

Sadly, baby girls stranger anxiety kicked in and she would hardly let me sit her down and was in no way in the mood to crawl around and explore.

Eventually she got a little playing in when I found a drum and scale. This child loves her music.

Will they ever leave?

Baby girl is as I and wonders if the cleaners are ever going to leave.

Uncle shout out

I swear she was quite happy all during lunch yesterday, unfortunately, I couldn't capture any of those moments with the camera. Oh well, and in case you can't read her bib it says, "My uncle is HOT and single!"

And just because it's funny, here she is peering out from the playpen in our room early in the morning. She really does wake up at the booty-crack of dawn every day and somedays I have her 'play' for a while and attempt to sleep a bit more.

Why won't you sleep in

It is so ironic that baby girl won't sleep past 5:30. Ever. I'm sure once she is a teen she will hate getting up, why can't those days be now?

Yay Baby!!!

Baby girl is loving her some clapping these days. She has now even mastered the standing ovation. Such a smarty pants!!

Today I was going through some old photos of AJ and I when we were little. It is fun to compare what we looked like way back when with what our little pumpkin looks like now.

I am seriously never going to buy her toys. She's been singing to this box for 20 minutes.

Getting ready

Baby girl loves sitting in the sink and talking to herself in the mirror while I get ready for the day.
