10 mo young!

It is crazy to think that baby girl is 10 months old already! She is growing up much to fast and is getting to be quite the explorer. She is still very much a diva, and has really starting to babble a lot. Her little voice is so cute!

Some of her current favorites include: cruising around the furniture (still no steps yet, but she can stand unassisted), being "chased", sitting on my lap to read a story, reading to herself (this is darling by the way) and eating every book possible, anything that makes noise (her piano, the fake remote, etc), dancing when she hears any noise resembling music (yesterday she was dancing to the sound of dinner making), cuddling in general, ANYTHING technology related, opening up doors / cupboards and blueberries (she gets so excited that both her hands and her feet start moving).

Things she is not a fan of: not being able to eat the real remote / computer / car keys / etc, drinking liquid in any form from a cup or bottle (unless it is straight juice ... again, such a diva), naps (not because she is not tired), getting her fingernails trimmed (screams like she's being abused) and peas (one of the only solid foods she really doesn't like actually).

Happy 10 months Pumpkin!

 

... Just so we don't forget how she doesn't always love to have her picture taken!

Constant Babbling

Love this girl and her crazy babbling. Today she has been constantly telling me all sorts of things. It is just so much fun. I wonder what she's saying?

Baby girl continues to be super snugly and is really enjoying sitting on my lap and reading books these days. I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that she has 6 teeth coming in right now, but I do love her cuddles.

On another item, Halloween planning has begun. I have the premise for her costume, and I've done a dry run I the tutu that will be the bulk of her costume. Initially I was irritated since I went to the fabric store over a month early and they had already sold all of the fall color tulle rolls, but luckily I found a few cutting tutorials online and was able to do the entire tutu for under $5, which, the cheapo in me is super happy about. Anyway, more to come, but I think it is going to be darling!

Popular Piano

Bug loves her piano that her grandma got her, so I figured it would be fun to bring down for all the kiddos to play with at playgroup this past week.

Boy was it a hit. It's so funny how there are tons of toys strewn about, but everyone all wants to be in the same 1ft square space. Luckily most of the kiddos are big enough they can fend off each other while in pursuit of whatever toy they currently fancy.

My little book worm

Lately baby girl has really taken to books. She will sit contently looking through her favorite books for >20 minutes, which may as well be an eternity in baby time! My favorite part of her practice is that she is now 'reading' the books out loud and makes the cutest little noises. Occasionally she'll even let me read to her as well and she watches each page and looks at the pictures as I point them out. Such a darling and observant little girl. If she keeps up this trend she will have read more books than me by the time she gets in school!! I guess she takes after her daddy in more ways than just looks!

The Foot Book by Dr. Seuss is one of her favorites, as you can tell by the amount of love it has received.

Fancy shoes

I was cleaning and organizing in the Bub's room today and sometime in the last few weeks her feet have grown almost 2 sizes!! We almost missed the opportunity to wear 2 different pairs of shoes altogether!! It's crazy how fast she grows these days. We put these fancy shoes on for the first time today. They are long enough, but if I'm honest, it was challenging getting her chubby feet in them. Baby shoes are just so darling. It's to bad she is so opposed to the whole idea. Once I finally got them on her, she immediately started kicking and stomping her feet like crazy, trying to get the shoes to slide off.

Oh well, even though she doesn't like them, I will continue to buy them, because that's what I do. And it makes me happy.

Like mother like daughter

Growing up I remember lots of pictures of us playing in the Tupperware cabinet when we were little. Lately, baby girl has learned how to open drawers, doors etc so I thought we'd give the Tupperware cabinet a try today.

She doesn't yet know how to get in there, but she had a great time opening and closing the door, and taking everything out and playing with things. My favorite is her crooked smile.

Giggles

This is pretty small and kind of hard to hear, but it was just way to cute not to post. We were having a great time this afternoon playing the recent favorite, "I'm going to get you..."

Trip to Idaho

We had a great trip to Idaho last week to celebrate Andrew's wedding. It was such a fun time to get to spend with family with not to much on the agenda. The bug was in prime cute-form for her debut to Auntie-Amy and even furthered her love of music and started "dancing" to music while in Idaho.

 

The wedding was short and sweet, and we even had Josh Groban quotes...classic. Baby girl was looking super stylish in her wedding outfit, and we even were able to get some family shots as well outside the temple after the ceremony.

 
Amy came out first, to applause of course, followed by the couple of the hour! Can't believe he's married. *Tear.

After the wedding AJ and Erik went four-wheeling in the fields by our house with my uncles and cousin. They had an awesome time jumping the four-wheelers. AJ actually got a little to aggressive and very nearly flipped his while air-borne. Thankfully, everyone returned home safe (though very dusty).

I really love Moscow this time of year. The weather is perfect and the fields are so pretty. AJ spent a lot of time enjoying the hammock and we all did our fair share of relaxing. Mom even found a jogging stroller at a garage sale and we were able to take the bean on some walks... though I am pretty sure my mom enjoyed it more than the little one, she is still not the biggest fan of strollers in general.

Aunt Angie gave the little bug a Rody bouncy toy, I LOVE it, seriously, he is hilarious and darling!! Unfortunately, as can be seen in this photo, the little one is still a bit to little to enjoy the experience. I think once she gets a little taller and her feet are firmly on the ground she will feel more stable and will really love the joy that is Rody.

Since the whole family was in town for the wedding, we took advantage of the opportunity to get some family pictures taken as well. I think they turned out great and I am excited to get some up on our wall!

 Ironically, the field that we took pictures in right next to our house, actually had a huge fire the very next weekend! Very scary, thankfully, the local farmers (my dad included) and 3 rural fire departments acted quickly to save our home and our neighbors homes from burning down. Crazy to think had Andrew had his wedding this weekend we may not have been there and the house may have actually burnt down... Blessings to be sure.
