Day at the park

What she lacks in joy for the swings, she makes up for in her enthusiasm for slides. I've been trying to teach her to sit down and go down on her butt, but she is to impatient and generally throws herself down head first. Today she was also really good at getting back up the steps to go down the slide again and again.

In addition to the slides and music wall, the bug also spent a significant amount of time chasing the birds and trying to catch the squirrels. Thank goodness she isn't fast enough!

Happy Valentines Day!

We're so blessed to have such a sweet little bug. When I got home from work today, pumpkin gave me this Valentine (coincidentally we also have awesome nannies). Best card ever.

Another fun thing, today bug tried to put my shoes on and walk around. While it wasn't all that successful, it was darling.

Loving her books

Lately the bean has been rotating between 3-4 different stuffed animals that she sleeps with. She gives them hugs, kisses and then hugs them while she falls asleep. Tonight though, rather than cuddle with her stuffed dog, this is what she chose to sleep with. Whose child is this?

Loving the Bumbo

For some reason, the bug recently has been fascinated by her Bumbo baby seat. She loves climbing in and out of it, and sitting in the chair while reading books. It's really funny, especially when she gets stuck trying to get out. Such a silly girl.

Beach Bum

Today we decided to take a drive down to Galveston and show the bug the ocean / sand / etc. We didn't think about the fact that it was Mardi Gras weekend, but luckily / unluckily, we got into town just as the parade was finishing up. This meant we got into all the lunch places before the rush and when we went to the seawall, everyone was leaving, so things worked out great.

Not surprisingly, pumpkin was not a fan of the texture / feel of the wet sand, but she did seem fascinated by the entire ordeal. Either way, we had a great time, the weather was perfect, and the company was great.

Sleepy baby

Poor little bug was so sleepy this afternoon she fell asleep on the floor with her blanket. Apparently 1 two hour nap is not sufficient.
