Happy Halloween

 Of course my favorite picture of them so far the flash didn't go off... oh well, we'll just say I wanted it to look spooky :(

Boo at the Zoo

We braved all the crazies at the Houston Zoo today. At first the Bug was scared/uninteractive but by the end of the day she really enjoyed it. Hands down her favorite were the aquariums of fish. She kept running from one tank to another, saying, 'I go see fishies!!' Thanks Kallen for helping me navigate with both kiddos. Now that the weather is starting to cool off we'll be going more I'm sure :)

Pumpkin Patch

This year I decided to try out a trip to the pumpkin patch with the kiddos. Instead of go on the weekend when there would likely be tons of people, I opted to go on a weekday and get there right as they opened. It turned out great. The Bug loved her name sakes and kept petting the pumpkins. She really enjoyed picking out which ones we would take home as well and loved carrying them back to the car. 

Still not 100% happy about pictures. 

So sad that next week is Evelyn's last week :( we all love her so much!

So sad that all the pics I took of her actually picking out pumpkins got blown out. :( this was as close as I could manage to save it. 

Happy with her pumpkin and all smiles when I asked her if she loved baby/grandma/etc. 

Miracles do happen

The bug had a major milestone this past week when she willingly smiled for a picture. I'm not holding my breath, but hopefully we're overcoming the stink face / in pain look that she typically gives. Either way, she's a gem. Her little bro isn't to shabby either. :)

Nothing short of a miracle. 

This is how excited she got after I let her take a picture of her brother. 

He loves her dog. She is not so keen on sharing, but will tolerate it so long as she doesn't have to share Lamby.

First giggles

Little man is growing up and today he had his first real giggles. Definitly my favorite so far :). It's great he's been pretty happy, since his first tooth finally popped through a few days ago. And he is currently obsessed with his feet. 

Family Pictures

Last weekend we got family pictures taken, true to form the Bug was less than enthused, and mostly cried the entire time. The little man did really well tho, and he gives me hope that at least one of my children will smile for the camera one day.

4 months old

The little man had his 4 mo check today; his latest stats are:

Height: 26", 91%

Weight: 16 lb 6.5 oz 74%

Head Circ: 56%

Latest triumphs/likes:

He's found his hands and feet and loves to eat them. 

He still loves to be held and talked to and had become quite the chatter box. 

He can now grab toys and successfully get them in his mouth to chew/suck on -- I'm pretty sure he's teething. 

He loves his sister and is constantly watching her. She like to sing to him and it is darling. 

He can sit when propped up, but still wilts forward after a while :)

He's getting better at sleeping. On good nights he'll last from 8:30-6:30, but usually wakes up sometime between 3-5. Hopefully he can start to drop that night waking, I would sure appreciate it!!

Current dislikes:

Being put down. Ever. 

Falling asleep by himself. The child has only done it once. Oh dear. 

Loud noises, he still startles easily. 

It's crazy how each kiddo is so different. The little man is much more interested in playing with toys and interacting with people than bug ever was. He's much less interested in moving tho and has only rolled once-- this is probably largely due to the fact that if he is out down he screams tho. Love our little boy!

"Mama!! I stuck!!"

The bug loves to try to do everything her brother does. Unfortunately for her she often ends up stuck; in the exersaucer, the swing, his bed, you name it. Thankfully she hasn't fallen out of anything or broken anything yet, tho I'm sure it's only a matter of time !!

With Evelyn, how sad we will be in November :( 

His hands are always in his mouth, I'm just waiting for his teeth to pop. Any day now I'm sure!

Conference Weekend

This girl loves to eat out, treats everywhere, a push pop at lunch and Capri Sun at dinner. 

The little man is starting to enjoy the exersaucer just like his big sis.
