Such a great day

Today was a great day. We were able to spend time all together as a family and had so much fun. We didn't do anything in particular, mostly just errands, but it was just a good day. At Costco, the Bub graduated from the car seat in the basket to the top seats next to Bug. He did great and Bug was so happy he was sitting next to her. Rather than being worried about him touching her, she kept saying "Oh Hi Brother!!" And giving him hugs and kisses. Darling. He was loving it and was giggling the entire time. 

So excited to have a buddy to ride with. 

After naps we also went to the park. Lately, every time we are going to the park the Bug sings, "We're going to the park, we're going to the park, we're going to the park to slide on the slides!" Over and over. To the tune of 'The Farmer and the Dell'. It's amazing.

Almost moving

Baby boy inches a little closer to crawling today. He was rocking on his knees and scooted backwards. He wasn't a fan of getting stuck under the couch, but who can blame him :)

Both kiddos have been loving all the attention they are getting in Utah being surrounded by family. The Bub particularly enjoyed Paulina scratching his back and shuttered in happiness. A boy after my own heart. :)

This afternoon, all the grand kids made paintings for grandma. Bug loves to paint and had such a great time creating her canvas. 

We also took family pictures today with everyone, we should get them tomorrow, I'm excited, hopefully a few turned out. It's hard to get that many people looking good at once!

Today as I was finishing packing up for our flight to Utah, the Bub was fussing in the high chair. Pumpkin got a tub of food and told me she needed a spoon. It was so messy, and a lot of peaches ended up all over him, but so sweet. And helpful, love my little Bug. 

The flight to Utah was decent, the Bub slept over half of it. I was a dope and forgot Pumpkins blanket!! Needless to say she didn't sleep at all. Thank you Deanne so much for letting us borrow a similar blanket! So far it seems to be working, or she's just so exhausted that she's sleeping anyway ;)

Happy 7 mo

Baby boy is 7 mo old today. He continues to grow and gets a little happier each week. We don't have another doctors visit until 9 mo, but per our scale he is ~20.2 lbs, heavy enough that you'll feel it after a short while.

Latest triumphs:

* Sitting well. He has mostly conquered this, tho every now and then he still hits his head hard when he is startled. 

* Rolling. Finally.

* Sleeping in the pack and play (probably why he can now roll, he finally has room!)

* Solids. He is doing really well eating all sorts of foods, tho he is easily distracted and it makes it not fun to feed him in public. 

Current dislikes:

* Green beans. Just like his sister. It's  funny the similarity in their response. 

* Still hates being left alone / put down. Ever. I am getting really strong continuing to have to tote him around everywhere.

One day I will get a good picture of the 2 of them together. But until then I will continue to capture here pic meltdowns every time she is asked to smile. 

 I did get a bit of a smile when I asked her where her belly was :).
