Taking advantage of Grandma and an extra set of hands

It was so great having my mom here for the past few days. Sadly, she had to go home today, we will all miss her, especially Bug and all the extra treats she's been getting. This morning I took advantage of having a second set of hands and took a few pics of the kiddos. Pumpkin still mostly refuses to take pictures, but thankfully the Bub is all smiles (in between trying to eat. literally. everything. he. can. get.)

The only way she even comes close to smiling is when I ask her what she wants for lunch, and if she wants Broccoli. :)

Random

Mastering the straw.

Painting. What started out with a brush quickly deteriorated into finger / hand painting. Thankfully I had planned ahead :)

Playing rocket ship in the Lego box. Both kiddos squeezed in delight :)

He's getting so big.

When it's really humid the hair by his ears curls, and I love it.

Playing in the train at the park, watching the fish at the zoo (still her favorite), bath time, turkey legs? The Bubs first slide and pumpkins response when I told her it was to cold to go outside. She went outside :)

Seeing the baby elephant. I live how they are all eating :)

More zoo shenanigans.
The Bub, clearly over it, pumpkin admiring the birds, Bub trying to get the monkey, and pumpkin on the carousel.

Picture overload

Can't even handle this.

This kid loves to play.

Spaghetti for dinner = no clothes

Laughing at his cute sister.

Forced diet, these kids always steal my food! That *was my bowl.

This is why there are product recalls. Mom fail.

He crawled into her room after he woke up from his nap, so excited to play with her :).

Late afternoon walk shenanigans.

I am that mom...

... that dresses her kiddos in matching outfits.

This Sunday the kiddos wore the matching outfits I bought when I first found out I was pregnant with a boy. It was a little small on the bug and big on the Bub, but I still love it.

Twirling, she loves to twirl. And zoom.

My mobile little guy.

I cropped him out, but the Bub was NOT happy, ironically, Pumpkin was all smiles as her brother wailed.

I love how he loves her :)

Its hard being the little brother sometimes.

Let me give you a hug!

It's already March??

Pumpkin made some friends last week, while we were out walking in the neighborhood. She was so excited to get her bike out too and ride with the big girls. They were so great with her, and now whenever she sees them see says, "oh it's my friends!"

Waste not want not. I've given up clothing whenever we have spaghetti. I can never get the stains out, so this is much easier.

A trip to the zoo with our friends from Minnesota. The weather started out iffy but ended up great.

Bub continues on his mission to seek and am destroy everything within his reach. He's been crawling for less than 2 weeks and has already fallen down the stairs, broken the blinds and eaten half a strip of weather stripping. Good grief he is a wild one.

And a need my one. He now screams hysterically in the car if I am not holding his hand.

I can't even remember what she was doing or why she was wearing her backpack, such a funny little bug.

Lately we've been spending lots of time at the park. They both love the swings and Bug loves the slides as well. Last time she made friends with some other kids who were building a huge castle out of the woodchips. She was in heaven and loved helping.

He was so excited when he finally got one of the vacuum poppers. The kids at the museum love these and he's never actually gotten to ply with one alone ;)

Not to be outdone by her tornado of a brother, she pulled all the blocks out and then proceeded to jump into the tall towers she built to knock them over.

Swinging on the big girl swing. Well sitting. When she got up the girl next to her fell out of her swing onto the ground so pumpkin decided she'd rather just swing in the little kid swings (thankfully).

9 months

Our little tornado is 9 months old today!

Height: 29", 75%
Weight: 22 lb 0 oz 84%
Head Circ: 69%

Latest triumphs/likes:
* Crawling and generally just trying to hurt himself in any way possible. In the 2 weeks he's been crawling, he's fallen down the stairs (not on my watch), pulled mutliple things on his head, eaten the weather stripping and broken the blinds. Oh man are we in for a crazy next few months.
* Pulling up to standing, still not crusing the furniture thankfully, but obsessed with standing on everything.
* Sleeping by himself, at night (90% of the time) and during naps (50% of the time).

Current dislikes:
* Not being held (big surprise).
* Having "toys" taken away, and by toys, I mean cleaning supplies, remotes, garbage, dirt ....
* Not being fed anything and everything I or his sister are eating. Screams like a crazy person.
