Just a bunch of pictures as of late ...

Fireman Bubba

L asked "Why does Bubba have an M on his shirt, shouldn't it be a B for Bubba?"
They think they are hilarious, and I actually agree. Plus, watching them play and laugh together is pretty much the best.

Mama's Cooking

Jan 6 2016

I am not a chef. I literally only cook 3 or 4 things (which is why we will be subscribing to Blue Apron). But the few things I cook I cook well (thank you Pando family cook book). Case in point, Jambalaya night. The quietest 10 minutes of the week, as they both scarf down and lick their bowls clean :)

Happy 2016

Starting the new year off right.

New Years Eve

Dec 31 2015

2015 you've been a good one. We've rid the house of diapers, gained 2 super talkative kids (so really just one more as L was already talkative), had our first real family vacation (Disneyland), and so many fun times as a family. I love these kids of mine, even when they drive each other (and me) a bit batty. L is the sweetest and such a caring soul, Bub is equally compassionate and so sweet with babies. They both play together so well, and it has been so fun to watch their little personalities take form and see their imaginations run wild as they play together constantly. I can't wait to see what the next year brings, I'm sure it will be even more amazing!

Zoo day with Grandpa Jim

Dec 28 2015

While Grandpa Jim was here and AJ was still on holiday, we were able to go to the zoo and of course feed the pigeons. Both kids are still obsessed with them so it is an easy, fun and free outing. They redid the aquarium also adding sharks and a huge aquarium with all types of tropical fish. To say Bub is in love with the sharks is an understatement. He was SO EXCITED.

I've also decided little boy church outfits are adorable. And now if I ever do not put a bowtie on him, Bub will remind me, Mom, my bowtie!! I need to be handsome Bubba!

Christmas in Review

Dec 26 2015

The whole Christmas season was so fun this year since both kids are old enough to understand and get super excited about everything. This age is so challenging and fun all at the same time. The highs are so high! Christmas Eve pictures were pretty much a bust, as they didn't want anything to do with it, but oh well. They match anyway.

Christmas day was exciting and so fun to watch them tear open all their gifts and be so excited. A highlight for L was the Frozen sing-a-long machine. She is in love, and figured out how to use it just as a microphone and now is conducting primary and bearing testimony of everything (her main interaction with microphones is primary so it makes sense). Bub has been doing amazing with potty training and actually had only one accident, when Grandpa Jim came and gave him an entire tube full of toy cars. He was way to excited and playing and completely forgot, which is pretty understandable. I love how excited he gets with cares and trucks. He is such a boy.

I also got myself a Christmas present, a new camera. I am SO EXCITED to start using it and figuring out its limits. I only took 2 pics :(, but I love them so far!

Potty Training Boot Camp

Dec 20, 2015

So tonight at dinner, Bub declared, "I have to POOP!" then proceeded to run to the bathroom, I ripped off his pants and diaper and he pooped in the toilet. I had no intention of potty training him until next summer (I only wanted it done before he turned 3), but he had other ideas I suppose. All in all he has done incredible. I was so worried about potty training a boy, but he's had very few issues. AJ is convinced he needs to pee standing up, but I am completely happy with him peeing sitting down for a while until he gets used to it.

Bug is still the sweetest little mama ever, and has even stronger opinions about what she will and will not wear. At least I know she won't be a push over :)

He's done amazing, but this was the face of him realizing he'd wet himself. LOL.
