Life according to pictures
1st week of December: Reindeer, parks, feeding the ducks, more parks, and the childrens museum. A busy week!
Pneumonia
So recently, even the sight of the camera sends Bub into a complete tantrum.Like laying on the ground, kicking and screaming. So fun. But it turned out, that it had good reason, poor kid has pneumonia. He had been coughing and feeling sick for about a week, and then he started getting fevers. After 3 days of fevers and then a lot of mucus, I decided it was time to take the little man into the Doctor. After attempting to see our regular pediatrician and the toddler quick care (which apparently doesn't open until 5 pm), we stopped at a huge Doctor office / Emergency room near our house. Thankfully, Bub looked miserably sick and the receptionist was able to get him into see a Dr right away. Some poking and prodding and a chest x-ray later (which was a disaster, he was screaming, since the x-ray machine is practically a medieval torture device, and Pumpkin, because she had to stand behind a curtain and not next to me, heaven forbid), it was confirmed that he had pneumonia. He got 2 of the biggest shots I've ever seen (poor little buddy) and is on 2 different antibiotics. I am just so glad I took him in when I did, otherwise it would have only gotten worse and likely ended up with him in the hospital over Christmas. So grateful the medicine seems to be working and little buddy is back to his normal terrorizing self (though he's still not completely in love with the idea of pictures haha).
Happy Thanksgiving
11-26-14
These poor kids have been stuck inside with rain for over a week. It finally started to clear up, and since I had Aunt Kasi and Aunt Amy visiting for THanksgiving, I took advantage of the extra hands and made the trek to our old neighborhood to take pictures at my favorite old building. I need to find a good place closer, I just love this one!
Happy #3 Pumpkin
Pumpkin had her 3 year well check recently. I scheduled her and Bubs 18 month on the same day to save a trip and kill 2 birds with one stone if you will. Pumpkin was fantastic, and did not scream, cry, wail or really throw any sort of fit at all! Oh what a difference a day makes.
She has started to even out in height, but still strong on weight (70% and 90%), though she wasn't cooperating fully for her height measurement so who really knows.
She is growing up to be such a fun and smart little girl. Current favorites include:
* Frozen. She is obsessed.
* Her baby doll. She is such a sweet momma and takes extra care of her.
* Her scooter, playing outside, and Doc McStuffins (even though she's only seen it one or two times).
* Talking your ear off, remembering everything, sleeping in mom and dad's bed.
Current dislikes:
* New food, or pretty much anything other than fruit, chicken nuggets and french fries.
* Going to bed (at naptime and bedtime, see above favorite).
* Being told no.
All in all she is a happy and loving little girl. She is so good with her little brother and adores all babies. We love you so much little Bug! Happy Birthday!
My ghetto cake, but she helped and liked it anyway :)
Loving all her Frozen presents.
Opening her scooter.
Bub loved his piece of cake (obviously).
I work out ...
And by work out, I mean I eat a lot of lollipops so I will tolerate pictures.
Sunday best.
RAWR!
He's always been affectionate, here he is giving kisses to the camera. Love him.
Serious hair envy.
He loves to color. Unfortunately, mostly on the walls.
Clapping is still my favorite.
